Our next field trip is at Cuil Bay on Sat 19 April. We meet at 10 a.m. at the roadside parking area towards the end of the Cuil Bay road (NM 9784 5528).
We will be looking at Marsh Fritillary sites to see how the caterpillars are doing this year and will also visit a site of the very rare White Script Lichen which is endemic to the Scottish west coast.
With Spring well underway there should be plenty more to see including early butterflies, bumblebees and other insects, flowers and perhaps the first Wheatear or other summer bird visitors.
Bring a packed lunch and stout waterproof footwear. Lifts available from Connel and various other places, please ask. Can pick up any Lismore folk from Port Appin.
Looking forward to seeing everyone.
