Isle of Seil Festival Activity Day

Sunday 27th May 2012

Seil Island Hall 1100-1700 hrs

1100 – 1130 hrs : Music on the Sports Field, prior to Church Service.

1130 – 1230 hrs : Outdoor worship for the “Festival of the Sea” on the sports field, led by Kilbrandon and Kilchattan Churches, with “Super Sunday” activities for children of all ages, in the small hall.

Four Talks

1300 – 1400 hrs “Lorn Marine Life” by Trevor Davies
1400 – 1500 hrs “Swimming blind – A man in a hurry” by Dean Dunbar
1500 – 1600 hrs “Diving St Kilda” by Graeme Bruce
1600 – 1700 hrs “Seaweed as a Fuel” by Ian MacFarlane.
1300 – 1700 hrs : Live Music in the small hall, including local singers and musicians. Refreshments available, tea, coffee, biscuits and home baking.
1400 – 1600 hrs : Slate Painting and Sculpture competition for children of all ages. Also other craft activities.
1100 – 1700 hrs : Seafari Boat Trips around Easdale Island (£4)
1100 – 1700 hrs : Displays, SNHG, Seafaris, Sealife Adventures, Marine Concern
1100 – 1700 hours : Slate Islands Heritage Trust Museum Open.
