SNHG Monthly Survey Walk (NM7819)

Starting point for our Survey Walk.

This month’s midweek field trip will be on Tuesday 27th December, meeting at 10 a.m. in the Tigh an Truish car park on the Isle of Seil (on your left immediately after crossing Clachan Bridge onto the island).

We will visit Achnahullin Wood (NM7819) which is rumoured to have Hazel Gloves (Hypocreopsis rhododendri), UK Biodiversity Action Plan species , to see if we can track this down and hopefully study other lichens and fungi of an Atlantic Hazelwood in better conditions than at Carnasserie last month!

We can discuss our finds over lunch in the Tigh an Truish.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Carl

PS Saw a Red Squirrel at Inverawe recently, to save this from being the first Species of the Month without a sighting!
