Our midweek recording field trip this month will be on Tue 25 Feb at South Creagan. Meet at 10 a.m. at the car park just south of the Creagan Bridge (NM 9740 4382). If coming from the south, after Sutherland’s Grove you pass a long stretch with no houses to the right, then as you get near the Creagan Bridge you see a house ahead of you on the right. A bit before the house is a black and white chevron sign and immediately before the chevron sign is the entrance to a car park.
If coming from the north, after the South Creagan roundabout you pass two or three houses on your left and then you see a chevron sign ahead, with a A828 sign a bit beyond that. Immediately after the chevron turn left into the car park.
There should be lifts available from both directions. Please get in touch if interested in car-sharing.
We’ll be looking at seashore life and brushing up on our seaweeds, then as the tide comes in we’ll look at coastal lichens and anything we can find in the adjacent woods. I’m not familiar with the spot so I don’t know what to expect but if the usual pairs of eyes are present we’re sure to find plenty of interest.
