Our next field trip will on Saturday 16th June 2012 to the Black Lochs near Connel. We will be meeting at 1000 hrs in the car park opposite the Oyster Inn at Grid Ref :- NM 908343, by the Falls of Lora. This is an easy circular six mile walk to the solitude and beautiful landscape of the Black Lochs. We will be spending some time looking for Dragonflies, Damselflies and Butterflies, particularly Hairy Dragonfly, Southern Hawker, Beautiful Demoiselle, Variable Damselfly and Downy Emerald.
It will be necessary to car share as parking is limited, so please book online or contact me by phone or email so that a lift can be arranged. It would also be advisable to bring a packed lunch as I anticipate we will not finish until mid-afternoon.
