LNHG Field Trip to Glen Nant – 13th Feb 2016

LNHG members

Our next field trip is to Glen Nant National Nature Reserve to look at the lichens and other inhabitants of the “Celtic Rainforest”. This is in conjunction with Plantlife’s Celtic Rainforest storytelling event at Taynuilt and the launch of their new Glen Nant walk leaflet.

Meet at 10 a.m. in the reserve car park which is reached by taking the B845 Kilchrenan road on your right as you head east out of Taynuilt. The car park is about 3 miles down this road, on your right, well signposted, at NN 019 272.

Bring a packed lunch, clothing for all weathers and stout waterproof footwear. Lifts will be available from various places, please ask.

If the weather is not good enough to have lunch outside we can go to the Taynuilt Hotel for lunch as we did last time.  At 2 p.m. the Plantlife event starts at Taynuilt Village Hall. Naturally it is possible to do just the walk or the Plantlife event or both.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.
